Governor BD Mishra called for the “immediate conduct of examination for selection of TGT and PGT posts so that there is no shortage of teachers in the schools.”
Governor also underlines some crucial points
The governor also underlined the importance of “monitoring teachers and personnel at the schools to limit absenteeism among them” during a meeting with Education Minister Taba Tedir and Education Commissioner Padmini Singla at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday.
Mishra recommended the minister and the commissioner “advise the institutions so that they function and work for the advancement of the academic and personality development of the students,” after sharing his insights regarding the operation of private universities.
He also urged that the state’s universities be monitored on a regular basis.
Tedir, who is also in charge of cultural affairs, was asked by the governor to “look into the issues of the local artists,” and the minister was advised to “hold a meeting with the Arunachal Artistes’ Forum and promote them, keeping in mind the state’s art and culture progress, as well as welfare measures for the performers.” (Raj Bhavan).
