Modi addressed the chief ministers and top officials of several states in the review meeting that the challenges posed by the Covid-19 outbreak were not yet ended.

Moreover, the prime minister also demanded that all eligible children be vaccinated as soon as possible and that specialized programs be implemented in schools.

Modi also emphasized the need for center-state cooperation, saying that it is even more important in the current war situation when India is experiencing several challenges owing to supply chain disruptions.

The prime minister asked all states to lower VAT on fuel prices, referring to the rates for gasoline and diesel.

West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana were among the states he mentioned. “I’m merely pleading with you to do what you should have done six months ago,” Modi said to the governors of these states.
