After scoring the most goals in the UEFA European Championship, Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal and a modern-day legend, was voted the Euro 2020 Golden Boot winner in the tournament.

Ronaldo won the title despite just playing four games and scoring five goals. Patrik Schick of the Czech Republic finished the tournament with five goals, but Ronaldo won the title based on tie-breaker assists. Schick did not register any, although Ronaldo did. Karim Benzema of France finished third in the tournament, scoring four goals.

Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo scored two late goals in a 3-0 triumph over Hungary at Euro 2020, giving him a new record of 11 Euro Cup finals goals. According to UEFA, Ronaldo’s tally for his nation now stands at 109 goals, equaling the world record established by former Iran striker Ali Daei.
