This in the second case to be have been reported in the month. The city has been witnessing quite a number of attacks in recent time. In just a gap of six days of mass shooting at the Brooklyn subway station, A woman aged 27 has been stabbed by a miscreant on Monday evening. This incident has raised quite a scary environment for the people in New York and in the world. The safety concerns of the general public has also been in the area of concern for all officials.
The horrific incident occurred in the evening of Monday at the Herald Square in West 34th street. The woman was apparently waiting for the train on the platform. The reports has been verified by Reuters.
The woman who has not been identified yet has received grave injuries in hr lower body around her thighs. She was rushed immediately to a Bellevue Hospital. As of now she is undergoing her treatment. According to reports from the New York Police Department, her condition is stable now.
The accused is still at loose and have been reported to have fled from the scene after stabbing the woman. The reason or the motive is still not known, reported the police officials.
In the last couple of months, the city has been on alert for the increase in the attacking cases. These attacks are mostly random and not planned and the targets are the common people who commute via the train. The commuters are often pushed Into the tracks from the adjacent platforms.
The recent attack on a woman was reported on January when a middle aged man walked up to a woman and allegedly pushed her off to the tracks. The incident occurred in Manhattan. The woman fell in front of the train and was killed.

Just a week back, a man carrying a gun had set off smoke bombs and had openly fired on the people in the station. The accused was arrested later who has been identified Frank James. He is a 62 year old man who has been arrested for the same.
