To uplift the export potential of agriculture and processed foods from northeast Indian states, a shipment of fresh Assamese Burmese grapes has been made to Dubai from Assam. These Assamese Burmese grapes are called ‘Leteku’ in Assamese.

According to a press release by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products (APEDA), ‘Leteku’ is rich in Vitamin C and iron and is sourced and packed at a collection center in the Darrang district of Assam.
The shipment has been made by the APEDA registered Kiega EXIM Pvt Ltd. from Guwahati to Dubai via Delhi. As mentioned in the press release, APEDA also facilitated the export of ‘red rice’ to the USA from Assam.
