Neeraj Chopra begins the tape by almost kneeling in front of the small child and conversing with her.
“Mera favourite to aap hi ho (You are my favourite),” the girl says after a few words. Neeraj beams and tenderly pats the girl’s cheeks in response.
“Look at the simplicity of this man, interacting with kids at Panipat Sports Stadium today. Way to go Champion,” stated the post’s caption.

On August 7, Neeraj Chopra created history in Japan’s capital city when he won India’s first gold medal in athletics by throwing the javelin 87.58 metres.
Chopra has become the second Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Games, following Abhinav Bindra.
Chopra is the first Indian track and field athlete to win a gold medal at the Olympics. He is a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army.
Chopra competed in both the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games in 2018, acting as the flag bearer for the latter and earning gold medals in both.
He is also the first Indian track and field athlete to win in the IAAF World U20 Championships, where he established a world under-20 record throw of 86.48 metres in 2016, making him the first Indian athlete to do so.
