Union Home Minister Amit Shah considers former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray as the reason behind the split in the Bharatiya Janata Party. Regarding Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, Amit Shah stated in a meeting of the party leaders in Mumbai on Monday that Thackeray must be taught a lesson. His party can tolerate anything in politics but not betrayal.
Uddhav Thackeray Needs To Taught A Lesson
Amit Shah further added during the meeting,”Thackeray’s greed was the main reason a section of his party had turned against him. Thackeray had not only betrayed the BJP but also betrayed the ideology and also insulted the mandate of the people of Maharashtra. Today I want to say again that we never promised Uddhav Thackeray the post of Chief Minister. We are people who practice politics openly and not in closed rooms.”

Since 2014, after the break-up of their alliance, the BJP and the Shiv Sena had been sharing a disturbed relationship. It may be noted that Shiv Sena fell out with the BJP one more time after 2019 assembly polls and made the alliance with Sharad Power’s Nationalist Congress Party. On the other hand,Thackeray claimed that the BJP is expanding Maharashtra at the cost of Shiv Sena.
