Agartala: The Trinamool Congress in Tripura is planning to strengthen the party in order to mobilise anti-incumbency wave formed against the 40-month-old BJP-IPFT government in the state.
The activities became visible among BJP MLAs after the re-entry of veteran leader Mukul Roy in the partyfold. Roy was instrumental in bringing six out of 10 Congress MLAs into Trinamool after the 2014 general elections and again before the 2018 state assembly poll.
Additionally, he was also behind the shift of all six Trinamool MLAs to BJP under the leadership of Sudip Roy Barman.
