Sultan Kosen, the tallest man in the world, and Jyoti Amge, the shortest woman, had a heartwarming reunion in the United States after six years. Their first meeting was in 2018 for a photo shoot in Egypt.
World’s Tallest Man and Shortest Woman Reunite
During their recent meet-up in California’s Irvine on February 19, they enjoyed breakfast together and captured some memorable photos. One snapshot shared by the Daily Mail showed Amge standing next to Kosen’s massive shoe, emphasizing the remarkable height difference between them, which Guinness World Records states to be over six feet.
Kosen, standing at an impressive height of 8 feet 3 inches, became the world’s tallest man in 2009. Meanwhile, Amge, who stands at just 2 feet 0.7 inches, holds the title of the shortest living woman. Amge’s petite stature is attributed to achondroplasia, a condition limiting her growth, while Kosen’s towering height is a result of pituitary gigantism.
Despite their contrasting heights, both hold additional records: Kosen for having the largest hands on a living person and Amge for being the shortest actress, known for her role as Ma Petite in the TV series American Horror Story.
