Woman from Bihar was found dead in her room at a hotel in Sikkim’s Gangtok.
As per reports, the woman was a tourist who came along with her husband.
Booked hotel on 27th December
The woman and her husband Kumar Gyaneshwar checked into the hotel on 27 December. And they had booked the room till 30 December.
The woman was identified as 27 year-old, Rekha Singh. After the hotel staff checked her husband was found missing.
The official said, “The police rushed to the hotel when the hotel’s management reported that one of the rooms’ doors was not opening.”
Further, the deceased’s body was taken to STNM Hospital for a postmortem.
The Sikkim police have started an investigation and also contacted the Bihar Police Department for more information about the dead woman and the missing man.
