Sheena Bora Murder Case: Sheena Bora murder case had left the nation in shock. Rahul Mukerjea, son of former media baron, Peter Mukerjea has claimed that his father had no role in the murder of Sheena Bora. This was stated by Rahul Mukerjea before CBI’s Special Judge SP Naik-Nimbalkar when he was cross examined by prime accused Indrani Mukerjea’s lawyer Ranjeet Sangle.

It may be mentioned that Peter Mukerjea is a co-accused along with his former wife Indrani Mukerjea in Sheena Bora murder case.
Rahul Mukerjea said, “I reiterate my stand that my father is innocent. I have written to the President and the Prime Minister stating that my father is innocent and no charges can be made on him.”
Rahul further added that his father Peter Mukerjea was not even aware of the plot to kill Sheena. Rahul was the fiancé of late Sheena Bora.
Sheena Bora was allegedly kidnapped and killed on April 24, 2012 by her mother Indrani Mukerjea with the help of co-accused Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai.
The matter came to light only in 2015 when the driver confessed of the crime during his interrogation by the police in another case. Peter Mukerjea was also arrested in the case, however, all the accused are on bail.
