Sheena Bora main accused, Indrani Mukerjea gets bail after serving 6.5 years in jail. The Supreme court of India said that Indrani has already spent her time in custody and the trial will not be ending anytime soon. The decision has been made on Wednesday.
Indrani Mukerjea granted bail
The court granted bail to Mukerjea on Wednesday after spending 6.5 years in Jail. The court noted that Peter Mukherjea who is the other accused in the case has already been out on bail since February 2020. The subject on which she has been granted bail remains the same.
The bail plea filed by Indrani Mukerjea was moved after several failed attempts. The court denied her bail plea as she committed the heinous crime of killing her daughter. The CBI also states that since Mukerjea is an influential person, she can influence witnesses and as a result of which her bail plea has been cancelled many times.
