President Ram Nath Kovind will be visiting Assam’s Tamulpur district to attend the 61st Bodo Sahitya Sabha on the 2nd of May 2022.

President to attend the sabha
The preparation for his visit is going on in full swing and the organizers are preparing to host the event for over a lakh people. The session will continue till the 4th of May 2022.
Urkhao Gwra Brahma who is the Assam Minister for Handloom and Textile, soil and conservation and welfare of Bodoland, said “the event is for the held for the first time in the history of Bodo Sahitya sabha that the president of India will attend the session of Bodo Sahitya sabha. The reception committee is now ready to welcome more than 1 lakh people.
The aim for this year’s session is “stop food waste”.
More than 5000 people representing the Bodo community will be present. The sabha was founded in 1952 and since then it has been working on the development of culture, literature and language.
