The CBI has reportedly filed three separate cases against Param Bir Singh who was Mumbai’s former Police Commissioner. FIRs were lodged against him on the charges of bribery, extortion and corruption. The investigations are underway.
Param Bir Singh case
AS per reports, another police officer, Pradeep Sharma has also been arrested along with the prime accused Param Bir Singh. The arrest of Sharma was made against the Antilla bomb scare case.
According to police reports, a complaint was filed by a social worker against the police officers for allegedly taking bribe from gambling club owners of Mumbai’s Thane area.
Jitu Navlani who is a business man from Mumbai is also to be questioned by the Mumbai police. As per reports, Singh has invested in many properties and establishment for a sum of 1,000 crore.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut also named Navlani to have been involved in extorting money from top business groups.
These preliminary charges put against Param Bir Singh on corruption and misuse of power will be converted into FIR’s if the allegations are proved to be true.
