A nurse from Kerala named, Nimisha Priya was accused of murder in Yemen after injecting sedatives on a patient. The case dates back to 2017. The victim’s family has agreed for a compensation to pardon the nurse, thus giving hopes to Nimisha Priya’s family.

The accused had reportedly spoken to her husband on Thursday, from the prison in Yemen where she is in a death row. The accused, Nimisha P\called her husband Tomi Thomas and said that the the prison authorities were in touch with the victim’s family and has offered negotiation.
Initially Talal abu Mehadi’s family were inconsiderate towards her but now after receveing 50 million yemini rial, as blood money, the family has agreed for negotiation.
Tomi Thomas said, “this is really a positive development. She told me it will be ideal if we clinch an agreement during the ongoing Ramadan Period, a season of hope and mercy. We hope the ministry of external affairs, the people working for her release will expedite the process.”
As per reports, the Save Nimisha Priya council has been corordinating for release for the beginning of the case. A senior official said that they will be monitoring the case closely.
Nimisha Priya and Hanan who were both nurses injected sedative on Talal Abu Mehadi and killed him. The case dates back to 2017 and she and her Yemini national friend were arrested on 2018.
