Navjot Singh Sidhu who was recently arrested by Patiala Police for a road rage case in 1988, has been taken to Ranjidra Hospital on Monday for medication examination.

As per reports from Hindustan Times, the former cricketer‘s counsel gave a list of food items that he cannot consume, including – sugar, maida, and others.
According to PTI, Sidhu’s counsel said, “he can have berries, papaya, guava, double-toned milk, and food items which do not have fibre and carbohydrates. The board of doctors will see what special diet is required and then it will submit its report in a local court.”
Reports claim that the former skipped his dinner on the first night of jail.
Sidhu suffers from embolism which blocks the artery caused by a foreign body. He also underwent a treatment for acute vein thrombosis in the year 2015.
The former cricketer turned politician was sentenced to a year in prison for a road rage case of 1988.
