The Nagaland Government, on August 18, has released the reduction of lockdown regulations of Unlock Phase-V, for a period of 15 days with effect from Thursday, August 19 till September 2.
Signed by the Nagaland Chief Secretary, J Alam IAS, the notification instructed that the state has been re-opening up more enterprises in a controlled manner, based on the prevalent COVID-19 situation, with the advice/views of the Health & Family Welfare Department, and the various District Task Forces (DTFs).
Maximum of 50% capacity in Social Gatherings
Further, the notification states that a maximum of 50% capacity will be allowed in Social, political, religious, entertainment, academic, cultural gatherings, and other public gatherings. This, however, depends on conditions like all the participants being asymptomatic, and being fully vaccinated (taken both the doses) against COVID-19, or having taken the 1st (first) dose of vaccine against COVID-19, and at least 15 (fifteen) days have passed since taking the 1st dose. Maintenance of COVID appropriate behaviour is mandatory for all.

Attendance in Government Offices
The Government offices are directed to function with 100% attendance of Group A and B officers on all the working days, and 50% attendance for other employees.
Schools stay suspended
Schools with classes below 10 will remain shut and continue the ongoing method of online mode of education.
