Nagaland: Dimapur DC notifies new lockdown measures; Odd-even rule to continue

Dimapur: On Saturday, with regards from previous notification from the High Powered Committee (HPC) on Covid-19 to further extend the ongoing State-wide lockdown till June 30, the deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, notified that the existing lockdown measures with the additional provisions would continue to remain in force in Dimapur district from June 19-30, 2021.

According to the order, DC Dimapur informed that all activities and movement of persons/individuals would remain suspended during the lockdown period except the permitted activities: movement of vehicles carrying essential commodities/food items and medical supplies, four lane and railway construction works; all healthcare facilities, movement of healthcare workers including those in animal healthcare, Covid-19 vaccination and testing and medical emergencies, pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes would remain open 24×7.

Additionally, the Commissioner of Police Dimapur, R. Tetseo, has notified that the odd-even rule will be continued, and essential movement of all vehicles within Dimapur district would continue to ply in odd-even system till June 30. 

Furthermore, vehicles with registration number ending with odd digits (1, 3, 5, 7 & 9) would be allowed to ply on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while vehicles with registration number ending with even digits (2, 4, 6, 8 & 0) would be allowed to ply on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. All those under exempted category have been asked to carry ID cards.
