Just ahead of PM Modi’s visit in Jammu and Kashmir, a suspected meteor explosion was heard about 8 kms from the rally. The possible explosion is believed to have been of a meteorite which has created a crater on the grounds of Laliana Village.
Meteor explosion in J&K
According to the reports Chandan Kohlin Senior SP from the Police Department, ” a meteor explosion were being investigated which is believed to have been a meteorite or lightning that had created a crater in the grounds of Laliana Village.”
The explosion was heard in the village at the wee hours today. The incident took place in the Laliana Village which comes under the Bishnah Tehsil of Jammu district and is about 8 kms away from the rally.
The poeple and the Police has suspected the explosion to be of a meteorite or lightning. The blast made everyone in the area panic.
PM Narendra Modi will be travelling to J&K today in order to inaugurate projects on development worth Rs 20,000 crore. This will be the first visit of Modi since the Article 370 was revoked in 2019.
The PM is also going to participate in the National Panchayati Raj Day celebration thus addressing the Gram Sabhas across India.
