Shillong: Lewduh, the largest traditional market in the state, will partially reopen from June 18 with 185 shops.
“We have decided to reopen Iewduh from June 22, 2020,” Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said. An equal number of vendors will be allowed to open on a rotational basis in condition of that the shopkeepers and vendors have taken the Covid vaccination.
Additionally, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Isawanda Laloo on said that the Syiem of Mylliem has listed the shops that would open each day and made it clear that only vaccinated people would be allowed to do business in the market.
