The Indian women’s recurve archery team lost 0-6 to Colombia in the first match and crashed out of an Olympic qualification tournament here on Sunday. It was the last opportunity for the team to earn a team quota place. Only the top three teams will earn a quota place for the Tokyo Olympic Games, starting July 23.
Whereas, from the women’s section in the Tokyo Games Deepika Kumari will now be the sole entry from the Indian women’s archery team and also will be in her third successive Olympics.
Moreover, India has already secured the men’s team quota for the Olympics from the World Championships in Den Bosch, the Netherlands in 2019.
