A group of 20 Congress workers allegedly attacked a Manipur journalist who was working as a correspondent for a vernacular newspaper.

Around 20 people, members of the Block Congress in the Heirok constituency of Thoubal district, raided the home of Elangbam Rameshwar on Sunday morning, according to reports.

Several residents blocked the Heirok road in protest of the assaulted journalist.
