A man named Khoirul Anam shared many images of himself marrying a rice cooker in a weird incident in Indonesia.
Khoirul Anam can be seen posing inexpensive bridal finery for the wedding ceremony in the images. Next to Anam, who is ‘wearing’ a translucent white veil, is a white rice cooker.
Khoirul Anam posted the images on Facebook, illustrating different stages of their wedding. Anam may be seen kissing the rice cooker in one of the photographs.
Anam can be seen signing their marriage paperwork with the rice cooker standing behind him in the other shot.
Anam describes his bride as “fair, obedient, kind, and excellent at cooking” in his caption. Over 1200 comments and 10,000 ‘likes’ have been left on the post.
The ‘unusual’ divorce
Anam announced their divorce barely four days later, indicating that the marriage did not work out.
Anam announced on Facebook, stating that he had decided to separate from the cooker because it only cooked rice and nothing else.

The entire wedding and divorce drama was nothing more than a social media stunt for the sake of entertainment. Anam is a local celebrity, according to the local media, who frequently create such stuff for entertainment purposes.
