Twitter founder Jack Dorsey steps down as chief executive. However, he will be replaced by the current chief technical officer, Parag Agrawal.
Jack Dorsey, who co-founded Twitter in 2006, was CEO of both Twitter and payment firm Square.
In a statement he said, “It’s finally time for me to leave” and that the company was “ready to move on.”
Prayag Agrawal who joined the firm in 2011 is the head of technology since 2017. According to the source, Mr. Dorsey had been under pressure from some investors to step down last year, in favor of a CEO.
