Launched into the world of social media through Reddit (an American social news aggregation), this particular matrimonial ad on ‘Betterhalf.ai’ has drawn the attention and criticism of netizens far and wide.
About the Matrimonial Ad
The individual who came up with the bizarre and trending ad started off with requirements in the form of values; like ‘conservative,’ ‘liberal,’ ‘pro-life’. These values being, what they were looking for in a partner.
They then, go into physical ‘requirements’, with a requesting word, “Please be…”. The bodily requirements included height and weight, and then quickly took a turn to bra, waist and feet size in the continued advertisement.
The individual describes his seeking even further. Their partner-to-be must be “manicured/pedicured and fairly clean.” The absurdity continues as the subsequent line goes, “Your attire should be 80% casual and 20% formal, but be into wearing costumes in bed.”
The long absurdity finally ends with a casually put age requirement, “18-26-year-olds”.
Netizens’ Reaction to the Bizarreness
Netizens have easily found the advertisement rather absurd and humorous. A user wrote, “This guy is ladies tailor or what?”
Netizens have also brought to knowledge that the individual was an “Indian man”.

Apparently, the ad made its rounds on the social media network and has reached the bird app too. The matrimonial company noticed the advertisement, and said, “Thank you for making us aware of this, we will look into the matter immediately.” It has also said, “Necessary action has been taken against the user for violating our User Terms and Conditions. Thank you for bringing this to our notice.”
