In the previous 24 hours, India has seen 3,37,704 new Covid cases, while the country’s Omicron count has risen to 10,050, up 3.69 percent from yesterday. The number of new Covid cases has decreased slightly, with 3,47,254 new cases registered in the country on Friday.
Active caseload and recovery rate
The active caseload in India is currently 21,13,365, or 5.43 percent, with a recovery rate of 93.31 percent. The daily positivity rate has been calculated to be 17.22%.
In the last 24 hours, 2,42,676 recoveries were reported, bringing the total to 3,63,01,482.
So far, the nationwide immunization effort has resulted in the administration of 61.16 million vaccine doses.
From the Northeast
Mizoram reported 1,199 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, up 215 from the previous day, while Arunachal Pradesh had its greatest single-day jump in January with 449 new COVID-19 cases.
