The two countries, India and Pakistan are among the 12 countries that abstained from voting in UNHRC that addressed the deteriorating situation in Ukraine.

The country participated in the talk and called for respect and protection of Human Rights of people in Ukraine and thus, “abiding commitment to global promotion and protection of human rights.”
The resolution which was passed in the house, addressed many issues including the violation of basic human rights in areas of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihv and Sumy in Ukraine. A total of 33 countries voted in favour of the resolution. Moscow on the other hand urged the international agencies to help its residents get transferred from the affected areas in Ukraine.
India also abstained from voting in March making it a total of 12 abstains on the Ukraine crisis in various UN bodies. However the country condemns the serial killing in Bucha.
