Hilary Clinton’s view

US admits to the point that it has much bigger problem with the European nations than with India on the grounds of preventing countries from exporting energy resources from Russia.

As per reports, Clinton was asked in an interview about her view on the Indian Import of Russia’s crude oil. She responded by saying ,  “India is held in very high regard. Its position matters. Efforts to stop Russia’s aggression are in everybody’s interest.”  She further mentioned about India refusing to take oil from Iran when the country was said to have acquired nuclear weapons.

In this regard, she further added that, “India’s oil imports from Russia are minuscule. Its important to underscore the right that India has like any other sovereign nation to independently take decisions that are in its interests. But i would certainly argue for India to be a part of this global response. When i worked to get the UNSC to impose sanctions on Iran, I travelled to India and made the case that Iran acquiring nuclear weapons could lead to a nuclear arms race in a region India was much more closer to than we are. India was very helpful. I think that’s all we are expecting from India.”

Hilary Clinton also talks about the ties that India and US has had over time will continue to exist even during Biden Administration.
