On the occasion of Father’s Day, a man from Karnataka can be seen holding an umbrella for his daughter while she attends her online classes during heavy rain. The photo was shot in Ballaka, a remote village in Sullia taluk in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka.
In the picture, a girl can be seen sitting on a roadside holding a book in her hand. Her father Narayana can be seen holding an umbrella as she takes her online SSLC class. The picture was taken by Mahesh Puchchappady, a journalist from Sullia. According to him, the girl comes to the same place around 4 pm every day.
“It’s a daily routine for them. However, due to heavy rain now, the girl’s father holds an umbrella so his daughter can attend classes. Academics of such students is at stake if they don’t find a place with a good network,” he told TOI.
Mahesh further added that it is common to find students of Guttigar, Ballaka and Kamila outside of their homes to attend classes.
