Guwahati City Police recently launched a 24X7 ‘Information and Distress Support Line’ for citizens of the city.
Citizens will now be able to send messages on either of these WhatsApp numbers of 6026901246 or 6026901247.

Reportedly, the people of the Guwahati can now share any valid information on illegal activities with the police through the numbers.
Also, they will be able to reach out to the police for help if in distress.
“Our drug info line generated good leads,” said the Commissioner of Police, Harmeet Singh, talking about the initiative.
He further adds, “We wanted to expand the horizon and apply the learning from there to provide easier access to the citizens, so that they are able to reach out to us in need through these numbers for support.”
