Assam DIG Prashanta Kumar Bhuyan’s son was engaged in an accident near the Ganesh Mandir area in Guwahati on 19 November, friday night.

The accident occurred when the DIG’s son’s automobile crashed into the two-wheeler while attempting to overtake it. The crash left the two-wheeler rider gravely injured.
The vehicle and its occupants, including the driver, were taken to the Dispur Police Station by police when they arrived on the scene.
A pistol was discovered in the vehicle, which turned out to be a lighter shaped like a pistol.
After an agreement was struck between both parties involved in the accident, the DIG’s son was released on the night of November 19th.
The Police refused to reveal any information about the driver of the vehicle that collided with the two-wheeler.
