Government of Assam issues new directives to contain spread of Covid; to come into effect from 28th June and continue until further orders

In an order issued by the Government of Assam dated 26th June, 2021, has issued directives to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the state in both rural and urban areas until further orders.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in an order dated 27th May have urged the states to continue surveillance over the containment measures as issued. Even though the new cases are decreasing in the state, the active and positive cases are high in a few districts. Following the same, a new directives have been put into place for both rural and urban areas that are to come in effect from 5 AM of 28th June, 2021 and continue until further notice.
