A massive fire had erupted after an explosion at Saudi Arabia’s oil depot. Visuals of large cloud of smoke can be seen from far ahead of the venue.
Fire at oil depot
The large explosion at the oil depot was attacked by the rebel group of Yemen, ‘Houthi’. The explosion took place just ahead of the Formula 1 race.
According to the reports, the rebel group claimed that they had planted several attacks in some of the top facilities in Saudi Arabia.They even claimed to have attacked with ballistic missiles and drones to disrupt the lives of the people in Saudi Arabia.
The rebel group that is backed by Iran said, “Aramco installation in Jeddah and vital installations in Riyadh were also planted”.
As per the reports of the drivers who were practicing at the track said they could smell the hot smoke from a distance as they were driving past it.
The whole explosion was centered around the North Jeddah Bulk Plant. This plant has all kinds of fuel which are highly explosive. Jeddah is the second largest city of Saudi Arabia and this explosion has raised aquestion of security and other possible threats from the rebel group.
