The accusations of extortion and for compelling businessmen who is a Non- Assamese allegedly in Golaghat, Assam steered to the detention of 7 members of Bir Lachit Sena by the Golaghat Police.
Extortion case-
The holder of the store who is non-Assamese is impeached for not giving wages to his Assamese employees serving in the mobile phone store. However, According to statements, the units of Bir Lachit Sena contended shut down of the mobile store of an individual and rendered indictments against the holder of the store.
An investigation by Golaghat Police-
The officer of the Sarupather Police station in the Golaghat district of Assam accused the members and seven individuals charged by police are comprehended as Jayanta Gogoi, Dipen Gogoi, Dwipen Gogoi, Rintu Gogoi, Guno Hazarika, Tarun Lahon and Dipjyoti Talukdar.
Statement by members of Bir Lachit Sena-
The member told that the seven individuals did not mandate any cash from the store holder and were charged and the arguments assert that the proclamations are false and it is groundless and was an effort to help an Assamese resident who was enduring because of specific financial situations. Hence to assist the worker in his distress, the members urged the store holder to pay the crucial pending salaries of the employee.
He stated that it was a conspiracy.
Earlier in December, 13 Bir Lachit Sena members after they compelled two non-Assamese youths to lean before them in Guwahati.
