EWS Candidates having certificates will take a sign of relief as the government has introduced a recruitment process for them. Different posts are available not in the civil but educational field as well.

A new plan has been initiated by the Government of Assam to ensure that the economically weaker section of the society gets the benefit.
The new plan that has been devised for them include for a ‘new land measurement’ that will help the candidates that fall into this category to get desired recruitment opportunities in the civil post and services and also in the educational sector.
The students belonging to the EWS category will get a upper hand in getting admission to the desired educational institute in India.
The new land measurement will ensure that the measurement which was earlier measured in katha will now be measured in square feet. This measurement will be applicable in areas that fall under the Municipal Corporation or board or committee.
According to the new guideline, 1.5 katha will be equivalent to 4320 sq ft.
In addition, The EWS candidates will also be benefited in the measurement of land in area that falls under the brahmaputra and the barak valley.
