Star sprinters Dutee Chand and Hima Das will make one last attempt to book their respective Olympic berths in the National Inter-State Championships beginning on Friday.
Graded as B category event for the World Athletics ranking, the five-day event will provide athletes seeking qualification based on their rankings, an opportunity to consolidate their rankings and secure an Olympic berth.
Although Dutee broke her own national record, her valiant effort to crack the qualification mark of 11.15 seconds by two-hundredths of a second during the Indian Grand Prix 4 ended in a heartbreak. Similarly, Hima who gave her best shot of 20.88 seconds in 200m at the IGP 4 missed the automatic qualification mark.
