Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Manchester United after several speculations regarding his move to Manchester City. As per the leading journalists, Manchester City pulled out of the bid today while Manchester United chipped in. The Manchester United Twitter Handle announced the signing of the five-times Balon d’Or winner.
In the Official Statement from Manchester United, it stated ‘Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical. Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester.’
In his first spell for Manchester United, Cristiano scored 118 goals in 292 games winning several trophies.
The 36-year-old has returned to the Old Trafford 12 years after he left the club to join the Spanish Giants Real Madrid. According to ESPN, Ronaldo will sign a two-year contract and it was a 15 million euros deal with a potential further 8 million euros in add-ons.
Footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave his former club, Juventus F.C., said club coach Massimiliano Allergri on Friday. It is no secret and several of the media houses has openly hinted Manchester City FC to be the star footballer’s next stop. Manchester United is also in the race to sign him.
Coach Allegri stated at a press conference, ahead of his side’s match against Empoli, that the 36-year-old player informed him of his decision on Thursday. The club, however, wishes the player all the best for his future endeavours.
Cristiano has been with Juventus since 2018 for having him signed for 100 million Euros from Real Madrid. The club hoped for a Champion League title but it seems likely that the player is making his exit with 101 goals, two league titles and a Coppa Italia Trophy instead.
