Bihu Committees, which have been holding functions for at least 10 years will be assisted by the Assam Government with Rs 1.5 Lacs for organizing the function.
While addressing the media Chief Minister says that to secure people from the fund raising by these committees, Govt has decided to take this initiative.
Bihu Functions Shall Be Held Within First 7 Days
The functions shall be held within first 7 days of Bohag month of this year. Only the ones following this rule will be provided the fund. This decision is taken by Assam Government to discourage and restrict forcible donations from individuals or groups.
All necessary COVID protocols shall be complied with during the functions.
