Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit in Jammu & Kashmir, two terrorist who were heavily armed along with a officer were shot in an exchange of gun fights. The incident occurred during the pre dawn period on the outskirts of Jammu.
At the time of incident, many armed forces were also severely injured during the shoot out. The CISF had launched an operation in the Sunjwan area. The operation ; a cordon and search operation was launched based on a tip off from their sources.
Terrorist attack in Sunjawan area
As per reports the police said that the terrorist were on the move to attack the city. Whereas the CISF forces said that terrorist allegedly killed one sub inspector. The bus which the terrorist attacked was carrying at least 15 personnel for their morning shift around 4.25 am.
As per reports from a senior official, the terrorist fired shots directed at the bus then lodged grenades, thus killing one of the official and injuring many others.
The operation was launched by the officials based on a tip off said ADGP officer. He said, “till now at 2 terrorist have been killed. Two AK-47 rifles, arms and ammunition, satellite phones and some documents were also recovered”.
The attack was uncertain and happened despite tightened security in the area.
A similar situation also occurred back in 2018 when the militants attacked the Sunjawan Army Camp.
