From rendering one magnetic to altering the DNA, the COVID-19 vaccine has been subject to all sorts of rumors. A woman from a village in the Kaliabor district of Assam had a bizarre reaction.
What happened?
After being administered COVID-19 vaccine dosage, a woman from a village in Kaliabor Assam threw a fit. She faked being possessed by some heavenly spirit and screamed, kicked, and fought. As was evident from the video, it required two people to lift her up and carry her out of the vaccination center and take her home.
Underlying implications
The incident although bizarre has once again brought out the indifference towards the vaccination drive. This is not an isolated event. The lack of knowledge and unwillingness to go ahead with the vaccination drive had been a roadblock for India.

Even as the government is taking all necessary measures and approaching with the utmost caution, incidents like this keep repeating themselves. In an attempt to smoothen the process the government has also introduced home vaccination to ensure people are safe against COVID-19.
