Guwahati: On 19th June, 2021, Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced that he will implement a two-child policy in state.
He further added, population NJ norms will be taken into account for loan waiver or any government schemes and will not be applicable for tea workers and SC-ST community.
Assam Government will implement and follow two-child policy for availing government benefits and in future, norms of population will also be taken into account for the eligibility of government.
