We all have a preconceived notion that social media is just a source of entertainment yet few people got connected through Twitter to help families whose lives were affected due to the covid-19 pandemic.
As per the sources, a consulting editor of the media house “The Frustrated Indian” named Ajit Dutta received a call from a person who was in distress and informed Ajit that many families in his village had lost their livelihood due to the pandemic and were now in need of some essential supplies.
Hence, Ajit, who hails from Pondicerry, called up his friend Ron Bikash, who he met through Twitter, as he belongs to the same region as well as the person who called Ajit in distress.
Ron took the help of his other Twitter Friend Ashish, who runs an NGO called “Being Social” and together they helped out the families in need.
Additionally, Ashish also owns an NGO named ‘Being Social’ has achieved many goals and has always been instrumental in helping people. Ashish who hails from Pune came out to help the families as well.
Ron with the help of his friends has distributed essential supplies to 60 families and has he and his friend Ashish have vowed that they will also help these families too whenever in need.
Last year too, during the Flood, they distributed essential supplies to families.
As such, during the pandemic, they have helped more than 2 lakh beneficiaries. This year too, they had helped more than 1.4 lakh people as of now and continuing with the Seva.
