KABUL: After the Taliban took total control over Afghanistan, various videos and pictures flooded the internet of the Afghans. Among several, a picture shows the children standing in front of a closed school where uncertainty and fear grip them.
However, the country’s children and women’s futures are now in jeopardy.
Maz Hakim, a radio host, posted a photo on her social media account of Afghan youngsters in school uniforms in front of their shuttered school.
Teachers bid goodbye to their female students in Afghanistan
She captioned the picture as, “A photo of a school closed due to security issues. The students showed up anyway.”
“All teachers said goodbye to their female students who won’t be allowed to go to school anymore. A numbing helpless feeling,” further she adds in her post.

People on Instagram were heartbroken, where one of the comments read:
“I can’t imagine how you, your kin and fellow citizens of your beloved country must be feeling – on the verge of heightened terror and devastation once more. It is equally heart wrenching and infuriating! Afghanistan deserves peace and safety. May it remind us to step up and defend those who cannot themselves.”

Afghans wanting to flee away
Various photographs and films depict the situation of Afghanis who wish to exit the nation, while those who remain stuck are abandoned by the rest of the world.
However, previously a video garnered over the internet shows Afghans falling from a plane after takeoff.
