15 vaccination van launched by Assam CM to meet 100% vaccination in state

On Wednesday, the chief minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a Vaccination Centre at ISBT, Betkuchi To achieve 100 percent vaccination in Assam. 

As per the sources, the vaccination of uncovered inter-district and inter-state passengers will be covered by the center.

The CM also has introduced 15 Mobile Vaccination Van during the program by flagging off for 6 different districts of the state. 

The CM was also seen appreciating the employees for their excellent work in the health department which also includes ANM nurses and other employees working for vaccination. 

Intensify vaccination drive across the state

The health workers were also asked to intensify the vaccination drive across Assam to complete the first dose within 30th October 2021. 

Along with CM Sarma, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Ashok Singhal, Chairman, Health Minister Keshav Mahanta, ASTC Ashok Bhattarai and other senior members of the health organization were present on the occasion.

People living in different areas will now have better access to vaccination through this initiative 

taken by the CM of Assam. 

Meanwhile, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on Wednesday, “Durga Puja would be celebrated in the state following Covid protocols. Durga Puja, which is the biggest festival of Bengalis, starts on October 11. The four-day fest will conclude on October 15. Last year too, various restrictions were imposed across the state during the festive occasion by the government given the pandemic situation.”

Reopening of Schools and colleges in Assam

Schools and colleges in the state have reopened for the last semester students from 21st of September onwards after the Centre is done giving directives for ‘Unlock4’. All the precautions related to the COVID-19 disease were taken during this phase. Certain rules and regulations were also set for the students of schools and colleges — like the conduct of classes in batches — viewing the ongoing pandemic situation. 

A fresh set of norms for the reopening of schools and coaching institutions have also been issued by The Union Ministry of Education from 15th October onwards in a graded manner.

As per the guidelines, students will have to take written consent from their parents to stay in a hostel or do offline classes.
