A man from Uttar Pradesh was apprehended in Duliajan, Assam for his alleged involvement in smuggling drug.
As per sources, the man has been identified as Ashwini Shah. The accused has been nabbed by the Assam Police near Borpothar area. The reports also claim that the accused was carrying drug weighing 12.41 grams.
Assam drug smuggling case
The State Police has been cracking down on a number of drug related crimes from Deoduar, Kamrup district. As per reports, informations were revealed by sources to the narcotics team who then jointly conducted the operation with the Changsari Police force.
A red datsun vehicle was seized near the Changsari area which proved to been used by the accused to carry out their activities. During the operation, the police recovered huge amount of Cannabis weighing more than 25 kilograms.
