True love knows no bounds, and age is just a number. These two statements are true, as evidenced by this elderly couple’s touching storey. During the pandemic, Jim Adams and Audrey Coutts met on a dating app. The pair married on September 25 after an eight-month whirlwind affair, and their photos went viral on social media.
Jim Adams, a painter and retired professor, lost his wife in 2017 after 38 years of marriage, according to Oprah Daily.
The 78-year-old joined an online dating service for adults over 50 during the pandemic. Audrey, a 79-year-old retired insurance broker, was among the people he met there. She had been divorced for 33 years.
“On my first visit to the site, I came upon Audrey,” Jim explained. “I simply had to look for her for a day. After that, I didn’t require it. “I said, ‘Well, I’ve got to meet this individual who’s as insane as I am,'” he continued.
Photo post
Julie Rand, their photographer, posted a shot of the pair looking just stunning together. JJ Adams, Jim’s son, also shared their photo on Twitter, where it quickly went viral, with netizens adoring their narrative.
Since its publication, the post has received over 1.5 lakh likes. Jim Adams and Audrey Coutts found a reason to grin even in the midst of a terrible situation.
How their love started?
The two lovebirds met on the dating site Silver Singles in late 2020, months after the COVID-19 pandemic began, according to Oprah Daily.
The dating service uses their hobbies to determine how compatible a couple is, and Adams and Coutts earned a staggering 94 percent on the compatibility metre.
Coutts, who was divorced 33 years ago, told Oprah Daily that she had been a member of the site for years but had never met anyone she wanted to date – until she matched with Adams.
“We’re a perfect match. We got along swimmingly “Coutts, who is 79 years old, stated. “We’re still stumped as to why it wasn’t 100.” Adams, whose wife died in 2017, persuaded Coutts to move in with him just three months after their first date. In May of this year, he proposed to her.
Adams told the outlet, “It seemed like I’d been living with her for years.” “I’d be sitting here contemplating something when she’d say something. I’d start to say something, and she’d nearly immediately say the same thing.”
He went on to say, “We were connected.” “So, what were we expecting? I only took so long to propose because I needed to find the ring, which took two months.”
Elderly couple Got Married
The couple, who live in Canada, married on September 25. Julie Rand (website here) was on hand to capture the historic occasion with her camera. They are now planning on spending the rest of their lives together.
“We enjoy a tranquil life and live on a quiet street,” Adams added. “We can sit around and do nothing for days on end, and we don’t even need to go outside when it’s raining. I paint, then rub Audrey’s feet before returning to paint some more.”
Social media response

“Wow, that’s lovely.” At the age of 72, my grandmother remarried. As I approach 50, things like this give me hope that I still have a lot more life to live,” one user tweeted.
“Lovely looking happy. Congratulations!❤ Also side note – your stepmother looks just like Fiona Shaw (from True Blood)” another response.
