On June 27, as many as 1000 fishes were found dead at Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati. As per the the statements of the people in the neighborhood, the dead fishes started accumulating near the Dighalipukhuri on the evening of June 26.
The reason behind the incident is still to be known, however, the locals suspect that this is a consequence of pollution in the water.
We further hope that the reason behind the incident will come to light after proper investigation.
