Taali is a biopic on Shreegauri Sawant, a transgender activist and the trustee of the Sai Savli Foundation Trust.

Sushmita Sen will play the lead role in Taali. She released her first look as Shreegauri Sawant in her Instagram handle on Thursday. Bold, powerful and fierce, that’s how one must define her look.
She is wearing a green saree with a red blouse. The big red bindi enhances an extra edge to the overall appearance. Sharing the poster, she wrote, “Taali – Bajaungi nahi, bajwaungi. First look as Shreegauri Sawant. Nothing makes me prouder and more grateful than to have the privilege of portraying this beautiful person and of bringing her story to the world. Here’s to life and to everyone’s right to live it with dignity! I love you guys!”
Meanwhile, daughter Renee Sen commented, “Maa (red heart icons), so so so proud of you. Dugga Dugga. I love you the mostest.” Taali director Ravi Jadhav dropped red heart icons as well.
