Srinagar: Grenade Blast takes place ahead of Republic Day; 4 injured

Srinagar: On 25 of January Tuesday at around 3:30 pm, a Grenade was thrown at a team of security personal at Hari Singh High street and four officers were badly injured. There were two male police officers and two female.

How the blast took place?

The Grenade was thrown at a team of security personal at Hari Singh High street adding the Grenade exploded by the road sides.

Four police officers were injured in the blast. They have been identified as police inspector Tanveer Hussain who is posted with ACB, Mohammad Shafi, his wife Tanveera, and another woman Asmat.

The injured were rushed to a hospital where their condition was said to be stable

The security forces have cordoned off the area and launched searches for the terrorists and they have kept the whole area under high alert.

Security has been tightened in the city and in other parts of Jammu and Kashmir to make the city and the state safe during Republic Day Celebration.
