The case
A shocking incident occurred in Hukajan village in Biswanath district under the Itakhola Police Out Post, where a man stabbed a woman in her residence and later attempted suicide in the same spot.
Multiple bruises have been seen in the victim’s body, as informed by the in-charge of the Itakhola Police Out Post.

Police report
Itakhola Police Out Post in-charge (IC), Shymal Neog, said:
“We were informed about the incident at the midnight hours. During the investigation, we found that one lady was brutally murdered at Hukajan village last night, while a man was found lying unconscious beside her body. On recovering the bodies, we found that the man was alive and accordingly, we shifted him to Biswanath Civil Hospital for treatment.”
Current status
Currently, the body of the deceased woman has been sent for a post mortem—further investigation is ongoing.
